Anna K. Sorensen has been teaching for 10 years. She has taught at Bedford Open and Los Senderos Open schools in Camarillo. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and an elementary teaching credential from California State University Northridge. While working for Pleasant Valley School District, she was the curriculum team leader for fourth grade for four years and has presented new teacher training classes in classroom organization and management for the past six years. Mrs. Sorensen grew up in Camarillo. She lives in the city with her husband, Mike Hurt, and their son, Dustin.
