Offset or screen printing CAPE logos in color

The Standard CAPE logos are comprised of two specific colors: Pantone 280 (a deep navy blue we'll call "CAPE Blue"), and Pantone 215 (a deep red we'll call "CAPE Red"). Optional silver, chrome or lighter tints of blue or black (grey) can be used on edges of the comet and certain stars (as shown). When printing colored logos, always follow these specifications.

If printing on a white or light grey (lighter than 20% of black) surface, CAPE logos can be all CAPE Blue, or CAPE Blue with CAPE Red and silver (as shown below).

If printing on a dark background, CAPE logos can be (one color) all white, or all silver. Or CAPE Red can be run with white and/or silver (as shown below).

Keep the CAPE logos consistent for our school's positive, recognizable branded image. Do not alter the CAPE logo colors or typography. Do not angle or stretch the logos disproportionately. The examples below illustrate a number of incorrect uses and are not intended to be a complete list. Never apply these examples.

Photocopying CAPE logo in black or in color

One color (black toner) standard CAPE logos should only be photocopied on white or light gray (< 20% of black) paper - Comet and stars should always appear light and bright. When outputting color copies, be sure to match our CAPE Blue and CAPE Red, listed above.

If/when copies are made on dark or different colored paper, avoid using the comet and star images - run the CAPE logotype alone.

Alternative CAPE logo versions (for all printing)

There may be instances when the standard CAPE logo cannot be used. Below are logo variations to provide flexibility in those instances. Please note: The comet and star images should always appear white or light grey (< 20% of black). Avoid using the comet and star images on dark surfaces when white or light grey ink can't be used. Although these logo versions are acceptable, the standard CAPE logos are always preferred.

Clear space and minimum size requirements

Keep appropriate clear space around all CAPE logo elements. This will ensure a consistent look and protect the logo from distractions within different layouts.

Keep the text within the CAPE logos readable and the images recognizable. All text should be greater than 6 points. If any part of the CAPE logo is unreadable or unrecognizable (for either print or electronic display), revise the layout or use only the "CAPE" letters (no smaller than 1/4 inch or 18 pixels).

Verbal and written treatments

Always spell "CAPE" with all capital letters and no spaces or periods.

Always spell www.CamarilloCharter.org with capital "C" in both Camarillo and in Charter (do not use http:// unless creating an active link within an email).

Do not use the logo in text. Incorrect usage: Stop by theoffice for more information. Correct usage: Stop by the CAPE office for more information.
