Dr. Miele is a clinical psychologist and personal and executive coach who greatly values open philosophy, progressive education. She believes in the importance of taking an active role in her child’s education, which is why her family chose Los Senderos Open School when they moved back to Camarillo from New York City in 2003. Dr. Miele is proud to continue her involvement as a CAPE parent and Governing Board Member. She has held various school leadership positions, including Vice President of Fundraising for the LSOS PTSA and PTA President of Medical Center Nursery School in New York. She has extensive grant writing experience, obtaining, managing and completing multi-million dollar federal grants. She has been on the faculty of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons for more than 10 years, with special expertise in women’s mental health, training development and implementation, and adult learning. She has served in numerous leadership positions in local and national professional organizations and volunteers for many non-profit and charitable groups. She enjoys music, theatre, travel, volunteering with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Camarillo with her husband and daughter, a CAPE 5th grader. |
