Kristy Curro is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento. Shortly after obtaining her B.A., she began a three-semester, multiple-subject credential program at CSU, Sacramento, which she completed at CSU, Channel Islands. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. Last year she held multiple positions at University Preparation School in Camarillo. Her duties, which allowed her to work with every student in the school, included teaching fourth and fifth grades, team teaching, cultural studies specialist and homework club facilitator. She and her husband have lived in Camarillo for two years.
