Email Maryellen Lang

Maryellen Lang has been with the CAPE community as Director of Education since its inception. Mrs. Lang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with emphasis in child development from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University where she also received a minor in educational science. She received her Masters of Education degree and an administrative credential from California State University Channel Islands in May 2008. Mrs. Lang was named Pasadena Teacher of Excellence and Los Angeles County’s Teachers Who Make a Difference. She taught first grade, fourth grade and sixth grade before leaving the classroom for administration, but she still holds a special love for being in the classroom teaching students. Mrs. Lang loves to run, hike, read, swim and spend time with her family.
