Maryellen Lang has joined the CAPE community as Director of Education. Mrs..Lang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with emphasis in child development from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University where she also received a minor in educational science. She received her Masters of Education degree and an administrative credential from California State University Channel Islands in May 2008. Mrs..Lang was named Pasadena Teacher of Excellence in 2005 and Los Angeles County’s Teachers Who Make a Difference in 2005. She taught first grade, fourth grade and sixth grade before leaving the classroom for administration. Maryellen and her husband, Brian, live in Camarillo with their one year old daughter Josie. Mrs. Lang loves to hike, read, swim and spend time with her family.
