Andrea McGinnis

Andrea McGinnis was born and raised in Camarillo and attended the local schools. She received her Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California Lutheran University. She is an experienced kindergarten, first, second grade teacher and a reading intervention specialist. She has worked in both the Somis Union School District and Pleasant Valley School District before coming to CAPE.

As a previous CAPE parent, she is ecstatic to be part of the CAPE community once again. Her two sons, Ryan and Trevor, attended CAPE from kindergarten through eighth grade. Teaching has always been her true passion. She strives to create a community of learners in a positive, safe and collaborative environment.

Mrs. McGinnis resides in Camarillo with her husband, Matt and two sons. She enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her family.
