Anna SorensenMs. Sorensen grew up and currently lives in Camarillo with her husband, Mike Hurt, and their son, Dustin. She is passionate about teaching and the CAPE philosophy. As a teacher, she feels her greatest commitment is to foster a lifelong love of learning in her students by igniting their imaginations and curiosity. She previously taught at Bedford Open and Los Senderos Open School in Camarillo. Mrs. Sorensen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and an elementary teaching credential from California State University Northridge. While working for PVSD, she was a curriculum team leader. Anna has also been certified as a Classroom Organization and Management Program teacher. She has worked with new teachers as a mentor and has presented new teacher training classes in classroom organization and management. In her spare time Ms. Sorensen loves to read, be outdoors, active and spend quality time with her friends and family.
