Christina Embry
Christina Embry is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach where she earned a B.A. in Human Development. While earning her Bachelor’s Degree, Christina worked as an Instructional Aid for an elementary school where she realized her genuine love for mentoring and guiding students to achieve their best.
After college she worked as a Child Development Teacher for grades K-6 and as a Child Development Director. Christina then continued her education at California Lutheran University by earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance as well as a PPS Credential. Since then, she has worked as a School Counselor in K-12 and college. For six years, Christina also worked at Granada Hills Charter High School as a Transition Counselor for students with special needs as well as the 504 Coordinator. Christina is excited to be joining the CAPE family and working alongside parents, students and staff to meet individual student’s needs with a compassionate and positive attitude. She is also a member of the American School Counselor Association. In addition to working at CAPE, Christina works at Oxnard College as a Part-Time Counselor in their Education Assistance Center and is working towards her Certification as a Teen Wisdom Coach adding to her expertise and passion for working with middle school students and teens. In her free time, Christina enjoys playing with her French bulldog, reading historical fiction novels, watching movies with her family and traveling with her husband. Christina has 3 children ages 18, 12, and 10 and lives in Camarillo. Back to CAPE's Staff page… |
