Heather LiddellI am proud to be a founding teacher here at CAPE. I have spent most of my 22 year career teaching 4th grade. I dreamed of being a teacher when I was in elementary school with my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Miller. I love teaching fourth graders because I love the energy and curiosity they bring to their learning. It is my goal to pass on my love of reading and help my students to develop their own unique passions so that they are life-long learners. In addition, I really enjoy teaching California history, especially here at CAPE where I can use project based learning and Storylines to make history come alive.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 incredible children. I have an older son who is in college at the University of Santa Barbara majoring in environmental studies, a daughter who is at Foothill Technology High School, and a son who attends school here at CAPE. One of our favorite things to do together is to go on camping trips all over the state of California. CAPE is a special place to be! I feel so privileged to be able to teach alongside such incredible teachers, our dedicated administration and staff, and to foster the love of learning in the children of our community.
