Janine Ortgies

Mrs. Ortgies is very proud to be one of the founding teachers at CAPE. Although, many years ago, Mrs. O. thought she would use her Business Administration degree to make big strides in that world, she soon realized that teaching would be the way to make a difference in little lives.

Mrs. Ortgies has taught many grade levels throughout her career in education; however, her calling is with first graders. Now in college, Mrs. Ortgies’ children attended CAPE from the beginning. It has been so satisfying to witness the education that Max and Megan received here to prepare them for university life at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

When she isn’t here at school, you’ll find Mrs. O. at the ranch with her beautiful horse, Blue. “Horses have always been my happy place.”
