Lisa WeltyLisa Welty is an enthusiastic educator with a knack for making learning exciting and enjoyable. She is motivated by the belief that all students can be successful learners.
Lisa began her teaching journey at Walt Disney World, where she was a conservation education facilitator. She led field trips, designed curriculum for summer camps, and even created content for programs in South Africa and the Bahamas. She transitioned to formal education in 2013 and has enjoyed being in the classroom. While she loves science and teaching about animals, she has found a passion for teaching creative writing and letting students explore their more imaginative side. Lisa grew up in Camarillo and spent the last ten years living in Orlando; though she misses the rain, she is happy to return home. She joined CAPE in 2020 as a substitute teacher and is thrilled to join the faculty as a third-grade teacher. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, traveling, trying new restaurants with her husband, and spending time with her dog. Back to Faculty page… |
