Raye Ann ClaytonI am Raye Ann Clayton, mother of current students Quinna Barkin (8th) and Jack Barkin (4th). During my 8 years as a CAPE parent, I have come to feel that a core strength of our school lies in the partnership between the CAPE teachers, staff, and administration and the families of its students. CAPE offers a truly unique opportunity to be intimately involved in your child’s education through volunteerism. CAPE allows parents on campus, in classrooms and at sports/school sanctioned activities to support and enrich student learning. I feel privileged to have taught many of your children in mini-courses and artist of the month presentations, costumed our musical theater productions, and assisted in both classrooms and in the office. It would be an honor to represent CAPE families as a member of the governing board.
My educational background includes public school primary education in rural Georgia, a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Georgia, Master’s degree in Audiology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida. I have more than 20 years of experience as a clinical audiologist. I look forward to serving our CAPE community in this new role as a CAPE Governing Board Parent Representative.
